A well-established building services and HVAC contractor is looking to add an experienced Commercial Air Conditioning Engineer to its North West service team. With long-term maintenance contracts across a varied commercial portfolio, you'll enjoy a stable workload, modern equipment and genuine long-term career prospects.


The role is focused primarily on commercial air conditioning systems, although any experience working on commercial refrigeration equipment would be a real advantage.



The Role


You'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding and servicing across a range of commercial sites throughout the North West.
This is a mobile position working on a variety of air conditioning equipment, with occasional refrigeration work where required.



Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair commercial air conditioning systems.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out reactive breakdown repairs.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
  • Work on equipment including:
    • Split Systems
    • Multi-Split Systems
    • VRV / VRF Systems
    • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
  • Complete electronic service reports using a tablet or mobile device.
  • Ensure all work complies with F-Gas regulations and company procedures.
  • Deliver a professional service while maintaining strong customer relationships.
  • Assist with commercial refrigeration maintenance where required, including small integral units and cold rooms.


What You'll Need

  • At least 3 years' experience as a Commercial Air Conditioning Engineer, HVAC Engineer or Air Conditioning Service Engineer.
  • Valid F-Gas Certification.
  • NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Experience working on VRV, VRF, split systems and AHUs.
  • Commercial refrigeration experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Willingness to take part in a 1 in 7 call-out rota.
