Jaydee-Brook is an established and successful Commercial Fit Out Company based in Peterborough.  With over 35 years’ experience in retail, commercial, industrial installations and refurbishments, the Company has built a strong reputation for quality, efficiency and service.

As part of our expansion programme we are currently looking to recruit experienced:

COMMERCIAL BUYER (Construction Industry)

Location :                   Head Office Peterborough

Hours:                         Full Time – Monday – Friday

Salary :                        Up to £41,600 + p.a – Dependent on Experience

Pension :                    Workplace Company Pension Scheme

Our Company prides itself on high standards, professionalism and quality of project delivery.  Working with numerous high-profile clients, we are looking for an industry experienced buyer who possesses a can-do attitude to work within our Commercial Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with our Commercial Team & arranging materials & site services
• Source and procure construction materials, including joinery, fixtures, fittings and specialist items
• Raising, managing and tracking purchase orders through to delivery and invoicing
• Sourcing new suppliers and maintaining our existing suppliers database
• Identifying cost reduction opportunities within our supply chain
• Negotiate pricing, lead times and availability
• Plan procurement activities in line with fast track project programmes
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues quickly and effectively
• Working closely with Project Managers and the Commercial Team and the site operation
• Ensure materials are delivered on time to avoid delays
• Ensure materials meet required specifications and standards
• Coordinate deliveries to site, including phased and just in time deliveries.
• Logistical planning of deliveries and services to accommodate the site management teams
• Sourcing and ordering materials, hired in plant and site services
• Deliveries & collections from sites around the UK

Key Skills, Qualifications & Requirements

• Have a background in Construction / Fit Out industry with a good knowledge of refurbishment-based materials
• Have experience with logistical planning and just in time deliveries
• Possess excellent communication, numerical and organisational skills
• Have experience with logistical planning and deliveries
• Be organised, motivated, reliable and able to work on own initiative
