We are delighted to be partnering with Dacorum Borough Council who are looking for a Commercial Contract Manager to join their team.

As a Commercial Contract Manager, you will take ownership of the commercial and operational performance of the external contractors on the repairs and maintenance service, leading a team to deliver high-quality, cost-effective and compliant services to residents. This is a remote role with expectations to be in the office only on a few occasions a month.

What’s on offer:
Salary: £50-55,000 per annum

Working pattern: Full-time, Permanent, Remote Working

Commercial Contract Manager key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the commercial function across responsive repairs and maintenance services
  • Overseeing compliance aspects including gas, electric and health and safety
  • Overseeing budgets, cost control and financial forecasting to ensure value for money
  • Managing contractor relationships, procurement activities and performance frameworks
  • Ensuring compliance with housing legislation, health & safety standards and regulatory requirements
  • Identifying opportunities for service improvement, efficiency savings and innovation
  • Collaborating with internal teams to enhance service delivery and resident satisfaction
The successful Commercial Contract Manager will have:
  • Strong experience in a Commercial Contract Manager role within social housing, repairs or maintenance and compliance
  • Proven ability to manage external teams and drive performance in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid financial and commercial acumen, including budget management and cost control
  • Experience in contractor management and procurement processes
  • Good understanding of compliance, health & safety and regulatory standards
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong leadership skills
