Key Responsibilities
- Managing a commercial property portfolio on behalf of the council
- Handling landlord and tenant matters
- Undertaking rent reviews and lease renewals
- Managing lettings and negotiating new leases
- Service charge management, administration and recovery
- Processing assignments, sublettings, licences and wayleaves
- Managing arrears and maintaining positive tenant relationships
- Conducting property inspections and general estate management duties
- Identifying and delivering income generation opportunities
- Supporting asset management initiatives and portfolio performance improvements
- Providing professional property advice to internal stakeholders
- Significant experience managing commercial property portfolios
- Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation and practice
- Experience undertaking rent reviews, lease renewals and lease negotiations
- A proven track record in estate management and income generation
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- The ability to manage a varied caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong report writing and communication skills
- MRICS qualified
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority or public sector property environment
