Commercial Gas Engineer in Exeter, Devon

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum door-to-door
Hours: 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer looking for a new opportunity around Exeter?
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management organisation for a skilled Gas Engineer to join an established engineering team supporting a major commercial contract.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a stable, long-term position, with a strong salary package and the chance to work across a varied range of commercial gas systems and plant.

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you'll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of gas appliances, systems and associated plant across the contract.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out statutory inspections of commercial gas appliances and associated plant.
• Completing planned and reactive maintenance and repairs.
• Working on large commercial boilers and associated systems.
• Carrying out maintenance and fault-finding on direct-fired AHUs.
• Supporting the annual maintenance programme for the gas network.
• Auditing gas maintenance and compliance across the contract.
• Ensuring all gas certification and documentation is maintained and up to date.
• Responding to breakdowns and carrying out effective fault diagnosis and repairs.
• Supporting other engineering and maintenance activities where appropriate.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, customer service and professionalism.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer with a strong background in commercial and industrial environments.
You should have:

• Commercial ACS Qualifications
• 5-10 years' experience in a similar commercial Gas Engineer role.
• Proven experience working with large commercial boilers.
• Experience working on direct-fired AHUs.
• Commercial catering gas experience would be advantageous.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work confidently with clients and colleagues.
• A structured and organised approach to your work.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly around safety and compliance.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Basic salary - £45,000 per annum (Travel paid door to door)
