Commercial Gas Engineer

Our client is a well-established building services contractor delivering planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of commercial properties. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to support servicing and maintenance contracts across leisure facilities, office buildings, and retail environments.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified engineer looking for a varied role with a strong pipeline of long-term maintenance contracts and excellent earning potential through overtime and call-out work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and servicing of commercial heating systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults on commercial boilers, burners, pumps, and associated plant.
• Undertake reactive maintenance and emergency breakdown response.
• Service and maintain gas-fired heating systems within leisure centres, office spaces, and retail premises.
• Complete commissioning and testing of heating plant where required.
• Inspect and maintain controls, valves, expansion vessels, and pipework systems.
• Ensure all work complies with current Gas Safe regulations and health & safety requirements.
• Complete service reports, certification, and maintenance records accurately.
• Liaise with clients and site representatives to ensure excellent customer service.
• Support wider mechanical maintenance activities when required.

Requirements

• COCN1, CODNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1A and relevant commercial modules.
• Previous experience working on commercial heating and plant room systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience working within leisure, retail, office, healthcare, or commercial environments.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
