Salary: Up to £55,000 + Company Van + Fuel Card

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a well-established building services contractor working across a varied portfolio of commercial contracts throughout Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

The Role

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and fault finding across a wide range of commercial properties.

You'll work across a mixed portfolio including offices, schools, healthcare facilities, retail, industrial and other commercial buildings, ensuring gas and heating systems are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on commercial gas appliances and heating systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults on boilers, burners and associated plant.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
• Respond to reactive breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required.
• Work on pumps, pressurisation units, expansion vessels, pipework and heating controls.
• Complete all service reports and compliance paperwork accurately.
• Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with current Gas Safe regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the business on client sites.

Requirements

• Valid Commercial Gas ACS qualifications (COCN1 or CODNCO1).
• Commercial gas maintenance and breakdown experience.
• Strong fault-finding skills.
• Experience working within commercial building services.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.
