Lord Combustion Services Limited are looking to recruit experienced Commercial Gas Engineers who live in or around [Location] and the surrounding areas. As the majority of their contracts are within the local region, you'll benefit from a genuine local patch with no long-distance national travel.
Based in Oldbury, Lord Combustion Services Limited are a long-established, highly respected mechanical service and maintenance company who are looking to expand their engineering team.
They're offering a stable, well-paid role with minimal travel across the local region, structured overtime and potential for further earnings, together with an experienced team and a strong support structure.
Although you'll spend the majority of your time working on customer sites, there will be occasions where you'll attend the company's Head Office in Oldbury for training, team meetings and company updates.
This is a regional role - no long-distance national travel - offering a better work-life balance while still working on varied and interesting projects.
The Role:
• You'll be working across a range of commercial sites within the Healthcare, Educational, Sports & Corporate sectors, carrying out:
• Service, maintenance and repair of commercial gas boilers and associated systems
• Fault-finding and diagnostics (with a focus on first-time fixes)
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and gas safety checks
• Breakdown response and reactive maintenance (including call-out rota)
• Commissioning (installation team support and manufacturers)
• Call-out rota - approximately 4-5 weeks per annum (1 in 12)
What You'll Need:
• Valid Commercial Gas qualifications (essential)
• Proven experience with commercial boilers and associated systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
• Basic knowledge of controls/electrics (advantageous)
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
• Ability to manage your own workload and work autonomously
• A reliable, proactive and professional approach
• Ability to complete clear industry certificates and job reports
Salary & Package:
£42,500 - £48,000 basic salary (subject to experience).
• Company vehicle - available for personal use (Hybrid Estate Car option upon completion of probation)
• Monthly attendance bonus
• On-call standby payments + premium call-out rates
• Overtime paid at enhanced rates (time and a half / double time)
Working Hours (Early Friday Finish): Monday - Thursday: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm, 39.5 hours per week.
Call-out rota - approximately 4 weeks per annum (1 in 12), comprising standby retainer and double time door-to-door
