Commercial Manager

Astute's Power team is partnering with leading Waste Management Company a to recruit a Commercial Manager on a Deposit Return Scheme across multiple projects in England.

Location: Hybrid - UK wide
Employment: Permanent or Contract
Salary: £50,000-£60,000
Contract Rate: Approximately £400-£500/day, Inside IR35
Benefits: Private healthcare + car allowance/bonus package for permanent appointment
Start: ASAP
Project Duration: 15 years

Key skills

• Provide commercial and quantity surveying support across the DRS programme.
• Manage commercial performance across multiple projects and work packages.
• Prepare, review and manage budgets, forecasts and cost reports.
• Manage contractor valuations, applications, variations and change control.
• Support procurement and contract management activities.
• Monitor project costs against agreed budgets and programmes.
• Manage commercial risks and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Support the Project Managers with commercial advice and reporting.
• Review contractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
• Support the delivery of small works and larger infrastructure upgrade packages.
• Provide commercial input throughout project mobilisation, delivery and handover.
