Commercial Manager - Facilities Management - London (City) - Up to £85,000  

Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in London. CBW is currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager who will responsible for the management of the supply chain to limit commercial risks to the business whilst ensuring appropriate levels of profitability through the application of sound procurement principles. The successful candidate will approve supply chain partners based on value and service delivery. The Commercial Manager will also work to assist the Quality Manager to maintain the risk register and play a key role in the induction of new staff.

Hours of work  

Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm 4 days office based & 1 day WFH  

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a schedule of customer contract conditions as a basis for approving contractual purchase orders and investigating contract financial performance.
  • Assist business development with general commercial advice, highlighting risks associated with new opportunities.
  • Ensure supply chain partners are selected based on a balance of choice within each service category, whilst avoiding a burgeoning compliance management workload.
  • Approve all purchase orders based on value, compliance and general suitability
  • utilising preferred suppliers where appropriate.
  • Review and agree supplier terms and conditions and advise the business of associated risks.
  • Maintain a Preferred suppliers list based on RFI enquiries and regular feedback from the site teams.
  • Oversee the supplier rebates scheme.
  • Oversee the onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Manage supply chain relationships.
  • Oversee contract commercial reviews attended by site managers.
  • Perform ADHOC P&L investigations for underperforming contracts.
  • Review customer terms and conditions and advise the business of associated risks.
  • Provide ADHOC financial analysis ie – Category spends.
  • Manage the renewal of all company insurance policies.
  • Manage insurance claims made against the business
  • Assess and approve supplier insurance documentation and liaise with our brokers where appropriate.
  Requirements  
  • Held a similar role within the engineering services environment (FM, Constructions & M&E)
  • Proven track record re the management of P&L budgets.
  • BTEC, HND, HNC, ONC or Degree (Highly desirable / Not essential)
  • Analytical by nature.
  • Must be able to demonstrate effective knowledge of building services, operation, and maintenance.
  • Sound commercial acumen.
  • Proficient in the following IT programs – MS Word and Excel.
  • Training will be provided for our bespoke accounting software.
  • Possess a professional attitude and business attire at all times.
  • Able to produce work of the highest standard and prepared to learn new skills in order to achieve a quality outcome.
  • Ability to make decisions and use own initiative.
  • Understand the importance of following policy and procedure.
