Commercial Manager

We are recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join a specialist groundworks and civil engineering contractor based in Watford. This Commercial Manager role will suit someone from a strong groundworks, civil engineering or infrastructure background.

The business delivers groundworks, drainage, infrastructure and enabling works packages across the education, healthcare, public sector and modular construction sectors.

This Commercial Manager position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the commercial function across multiple live projects within a growing contractor environment.

Commercial Manager – Key Responsibilities

• Full commercial management across multiple live projects
• Preparation and management of CVRs as part of the Commercial Manager role
• Valuations, variations and final accounts
• Subcontract procurement and subcontract management
• Commercial reporting and forecasting
• Risk management and cost control across all projects
• Working closely with operational teams in a Commercial Manager capacity

Commercial Manager – Requirements

• Experience as a Commercial Manager, Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
• Strong background in groundworks, civil engineering or infrastructure
• Experience delivering CVRs, valuations and final accounts as a Commercial Manager
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding of subcontractor packages within groundworks and civils
• Experience working within a fast-paced commercial environment

• £100,000 - £120,000 basic salary
