Are you a Commercial Manager or a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for a role where you can take real ownership and shape how a growing main contractor operates? Do you want a long-term position with clear progression, including the opportunity to step into a director-level role as the business expands?

On offer is a key position within a close-knit, family-run construction contractor, where you will take responsibility for the commercial function and play a central part in the company's next stage of growth. You will have the autonomy to improve processes, support the team, and make a visible impact on project delivery and profitability.

The business delivers a mix of new build and refurbishment projects across sectors including commercial fit out, education, healthcare, industrial and heritage works. With ambitious plans to grow turnover over the next two years, they are looking to bring in an experienced commercial lead to support continued success.

In this role you will be predominantly office-based in Letchworth, with regular site visits. You will lead and develop a small commercial team, manage contracts and commercial reporting, and support wider operational decision making across projects in London and beyond.

This role would suit a Commercial Manager or Senior QS from a main contractor background, looking for long-term progression, genuine responsibility and the chance to help drive a growing business forward.

The Role:

• Leading the commercial function for a growing main contractor
• Managing and supporting a small team including QS, junior QS and estimator
• Contract management, commercial reporting and supporting project delivery

The Person:

• Commercial Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor with main contractor experience
• Strong contract knowledge (claims experience beneficial)
• Able to lead, develop people and take ownership within a small, close-knit business
