Commercial Order Executive | Hull
Full Time | Permanent | £30,000 - £35,000pa

Are you someone who enjoys building customer relationships, spotting commercial opportunities and delivering an exceptional customer experience?

We’re recruiting for a Commercial Order Executive to join a well-established international business supplying essential products into highly regulated global industries.

This is far more than an order processing role. You’ll become a key part of the commercial team, working closely with customers, Account Managers and internal departments to ensure enquiries are converted into orders, relationships continue to grow and customers receive a seamless experience from quotation through to delivery.

The business operates within a fast-paced international environment, supplying an extensive product portfolio to customers across global markets. They’re looking for candidates who are commercially aware, proactive and customer focused - someone who naturally looks for opportunities rather than simply reacting to requests.

You’ll play an important role in supporting account growth, following up quotations, identifying additional customer needs and helping maximise the potential within an established customer base.

Key responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage customer quotations from enquiry through to order
  • Proactively follow up opportunities to maximise quote conversion
  • Build strong relationships with customers through exceptional service
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional products
  • Work closely with Account Managers to support account growth
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure orders are delivered efficiently
  • Become a trusted point of contact throughout the customer journey

The ideal candidate for the Commercial Order Executive role will have the following background:

  • Experience within customer service, sales support, internal sales or commercial operations
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to follow up opportunities rather than wait for them
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
  • Commercial awareness with a genuine desire to help grow customer accounts
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Experience within a product-based business, ideally supplying highly regulated or industrial sectors, would be advantageous
