Position:            Commercial Plumber

Location:           Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

Salary:                £21ph - 37.5 hours a week + overtime

A regional M&E Contractor is looking for an experienced Commercial Plumber to join their growing Small Works team.

The successful candidate will carry out installation and quoted works on a variety of small projects, working on a range of plumbing systems within commercial, education and healthcare environments across Cambridgeshire.

As a Commercial Plumber, you will ensure that all work is completed to a high standard, in a safe working manner, within programme and to the satisfaction of the client.

As a Commercial Plumber, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Install hot and cold water pipework, sanitaryware, valves and associated plumbing systems.
  • Carry out alterations, upgrades and refurbishment works across a range of commercial buildings.
  • Carry out small installation, remedial and maintenance works as required.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant plumbing regulations, Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Complete all relevant job sheets, certification and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, Project Managers and other trades on site.

Successful applicants will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of commercial plumbing systems and their installation methods.
  • Experience working within a similar environment including commercial, education and healthcare.
  • Experience working on hot and cold water systems, pipework, valves and sanitaryware.
  • Good fault finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Relevant plumbing qualification (NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing & Heating, City & Guilds or equivalent)
  • CSCS card.
  • Unvented Hot Water qualification would be desirable.
