Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or Commercial Plumber looking for a permanent, Monday-to-Friday position on a large commercial site?
We're recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join an established Facilities Management team at a major commercial facility near Rugby, Warwickshire.
This is a static, single-site role offering a £40,000 basic salary, excellent working hours and no requirement to travel between multiple customer sites.
You'll carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across the facility, with a particular focus on commercial plumbing, water systems and general mechanical building services.

The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you'll work as part of the site's engineering team carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across mechanical and plumbing systems.
You'll be responsible for identifying faults, completing repairs and maintaining building services equipment to ensure the facility remains safe and operational.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

Complete reactive mechanical and plumbing repairs

Maintain commercial plumbing systems

Diagnose plumbing and mechanical faults

Repair and maintain pipework
-
Maintain taps, toilets, sinks and sanitary systems

Work on pumps and valves
-
Carry out minor plumbing installations

Complete repairs and remedial works

Identify leaks and resolve water-related faults

Support maintenance of wider mechanical building services
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with a strong commercial plumbing or mechanical maintenance background who is comfortable working within a large Facilities Management environment.
You'll need good fault-finding skills and the ability to independently carry out plumbing repairs and general mechanical maintenance.
Qualifications & Experience
Ideally, you'll have:

Recognised Plumbing or Mechanical qualification

NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or Building Services

Previous commercial plumbing experience

Mechanical maintenance experience
-
Experience with planned and reactive maintenance
-
Good fault-finding and repair skills
Experience within Facilities Management, commercial buildings, industrial facilities, logistics, distribution or large-scale estates would be particularly relevant.
