Commercial Plumbing & Heating Engineer
£15–£18 per hour, depending on experience
Total package including paid travel: £37,000–£41,000
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Plumber or Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join a well-established and growing business based in South Yorkshire.
Working as part of a field-based team, you will carry out plumbing and heating installation, maintenance and repair work across a range of commercial premises, including hospitals, schools, council buildings, transport facilities and other commercial sites.
We are happy to consider an experienced plumber who does not currently hold commercial gas qualifications. For the right person, there may be an opportunity to undertake further training and develop towards becoming a Commercial Gas Engineer, making this an excellent long-term career opportunity.
The Role
Your duties will include:
- Plumbing installations, maintenance and repairs
- Diagnosing plumbing faults and identifying appropriate solutions
- Installation and maintenance of pipework, sanitary ware and water heaters
- General heating and plumbing maintenance
- Boiler installations, servicing and repairs where appropriately qualified
- Working safely and ensuring work meets required standards
- Communicating effectively with customers, engineers and office staff
- Managing your workload and completing jobs efficiently
Ideally, you will have:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing, or equivalent
- Proven plumbing experience
- Commercial plumbing experience would be an advantage
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Good IT skills
- A reliable, flexible and positive approach
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Ideally be based within the South Yorkshire area
Gas Safe, ACS and G3 qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential for the right plumbing candidate.
Candidates with a strong plumbing background who are interested in developing their skills and potentially training towards commercial gas qualifications are encouraged to apply.
