Job Title: Commercial Practitioner
Location: Hybrid - Liverpool/Birmingham/Newport or Norwich (2 days per week on site)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Daily Rate: £ 400/day (Umbrella – Maximum)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Essential:
Public sector procurement experience/ contract management/ stakeholder engagement/ PCR 2015, Knowledge of PA2023/ worked in professional services procurement/ contract management background .
This is an officer level role and is a support role but the candidate will be working independently supporting the contract leads.
The Role:
- Lead the team to develop and implement plans to retain and grow spend, drive value and deliver commercial benefits (savings) with current and new customers and improve service quality;
- Execute engagement plans for communications with current and new customers to establish and enact retention and growth of spend through Commercial Agreements;
- Understand the customer business needs and intent, and determine how and where the product portfolio may support their business - in collaboration with internal teams.
- Create clear and compelling cases for customers to adopt Commercial Agreements and the associated value delivered to them;
- Present at stakeholder forums/events and provide sound and creative commercial advice on routes to market;
- Effective management of Commercial Agreements over their lifecycle to meet growth targets - from launch through to expiry and/or replacement; leading or supporting the delivery of procurements for replacement agreements;
- Effective supplier management, including the development of supplier plans for growth, conducting supplier reviews of sales and compliance to the Terms and Conditions, risk management and timely provision of management information;
- Support the development of creative and innovative market leading commercial strategies and future commercial solutions; superior service, and value for money based on customer and market insights - through collaborative relationships across the organisation;
- Analyze data to identify initiatives that could deliver value and support the effective management of Commercial Agreements and suppliers;
- Work with suppliers, customers and colleagues to identify, implement and report on commercial benefits (savings);
- Prepare documents (e.g. specifications, award criteria, pricing models) for colleagues to go to market for new/renewed Commercial Agreements;
Essential
- Experience and knowledge of PCR 2015
- Experience of working with a portfolio of Stakeholders
- Supplier management experience
- Public Sector experience
- Experience of handling complex agreements
