Commercial Property Conveyancer in Derby, Derbyshire

An established law firm is looking for an ambitious and motivated Conveyancer to join its Commercial Property team in Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on residential conveyancing experience who is looking to develop their career into commercial property. 

You will initially support the team with the property requirements of corporate clients, with training and ongoing development provided to help you build your commercial property knowledge and experience.

The Role

• Support the Commercial Property team with a range of property transactions and client matters.
• Assist with the conveyancing requirements of corporate clients.
• Apply your existing residential conveyancing knowledge and experience to commercial property work.
• Liaise with clients, both face to face and over the telephone.
• Prepare and process legal documentation and maintain accurate case records.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure matters progress efficiently.
• Develop your commercial property expertise through practical experience and training.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience of residential conveyancing procedures and processes – essential.
• Previous commercial property experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
• CLC, CILEx or LLB qualification, or currently studying towards one, would be beneficial.
• Strong organisational, administrative and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Confident communication and client-care skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, while taking direction and supervision when required.
• Reliable, efficient and organised, with a proactive approach to work.
• Enthusiastic and keen to develop a career in commercial property.
