We are currently recruiting for an experienced Legal Secretary to join a busy and supportive Property team, providing secretarial and administrative support across both Commercial and Residential Property matters.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal secretary to join a well-established law firm offering a professional working environment, long-term career prospects, and a varied workload.

Working closely with fee earners, you will play a key role in ensuring property transactions progress efficiently while delivering exceptional client service.



Key Responsibilities

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Property team.
  • Preparing, formatting and processing legal documentation and correspondence.
  • Opening, maintaining and closing client files.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents and third parties.
  • Managing telephone and email enquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Assisting fee earners with residential and commercial property transactions, including sales, purchases and remortgages.
  • Requesting and monitoring searches, property information and supporting documentation.
  • Assisting with exchange and completion matters.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating case management systems.
  • Monitoring key dates, deadlines and outstanding matters.
  • Supporting post-completion administration where required.
  • Providing timely updates to clients and ensuring a high standard of service.
  • Assisting with general administrative duties across the department.


Candidate Requirements

Applicants should have:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a Property department.
  • Strong understanding of residential and commercial property transactions.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Professional and personable approach to client service.
  • Good IT and case management system skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.
