We are seeking a qualified and experienced Commercial Vehicle Technician to join our client’s reputable team in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. The Commercial Vehicle Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and servicing a diverse commercial vehicle fleet, ensuring operational efficiency and safety. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering a highly competitive salary depending on experience, with typical hours of Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 5:00pm.

Duties:
  • Servicing, maintaining, and diagnosing faults on a commercial vehicle rental fleet
  • Conducting routine servicing and preventative maintenance to high standards
  • Preparing commercial vehicles for sale
  • Assisting with vehicle conversions and modifications, including WAV vehicle installations
  • Managing fleet servicing schedules and maintaining accurate records
  • Identifying additional repairs or work needed and ensuring vehicles are safe and roadworthy
  • Minimising vehicle downtime and ensuring high vehicle availability and reliability
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Vehicle Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Fleet Technician, or similar role
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
  • Experience working on commercial vehicles is highly advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Proactive, practical approach to problem-solving
  • High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Enthusiastic about working on a varied range of mechanical projects and conversions
