Location: South East (with occasional nationwide travel)

The Opportunity

We're recruiting for an experienced Electrical Commissioning & Maintenance Engineer to join a growing engineering business operating within the water and industrial sectors across the South East.

Working as part of an established external site team, you'll be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of pumping equipment and associated electrical systems. This is a varied role offering a mix of project work, reactive maintenance and commissioning, with opportunities to develop your technical skills across a range of sites.

The Role

As an Electrical Commissioning & Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation, commissioning and maintenance of pumps and associated electrical equipment.
  • Supporting mechanical installation and commissioning activities on-site.
  • Carrying out fault finding, repairs and servicing across customer sites.
  • Assisting with breakdowns and aftersales support when required.
  • Completing site reports, commissioning documentation and customer sign-off paperwork.
  • Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with customers through professional communication.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and company training programmes.

What We're Looking For

Ideally you'll have:

  • Previous experience in a commissioning, maintenance or field service position.
  • Experience working on pumps, motors or rotating equipment (highly desirable).
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach on customer sites.
  • Experience within the water, utilities or industrial sectors would be advantageous.

Qualifications

  • 17th or 18th Edition BS7671.
  • City & Guilds Level 3 Inspection & Testing (preferred).
  • Confined Space (desirable).
  • First Aid (desirable).
  • CSCS Card (desirable).
