Commissioning Engineer

JAM Recruitment Ltd

Commissioning Engineer - Energy & Power

Location: Lancashire

I'm currently speaking with Commissioning Engineers about a confidential opportunity with a business working across energy storage and power systems.

The role involves testing and commissioning complex electrical equipment and working closely with design, controls and software engineers to diagnose issues and get systems operating correctly.

Relevant experience could include:

  • Electrical testing and validation

  • FAT and SAT

  • Site commissioning

  • LV / MV electrical systems

  • AC and DC systems

  • Switchgear and distribution

  • Power conversion equipment

  • Inverters

  • Battery Energy Storage Systems

  • Microgrids

  • UPS or renewable energy systems

  • Electrical fault finding and diagnostics

  • Reading electrical schematics and single-line diagrams

I'm particularly interested in engineers who are comfortable working on technically complex equipment rather than purely routine electrical testing.

BESS experience would be useful, but candidates from power generation, utilities, industrial electrical systems, renewables, UPS or similar environments could also be a good fit.

There is a strong practical element to the role, so this would suit someone who enjoys getting involved with equipment, testing and commissioning rather than remaining desk-based.

If you're an experienced electrical test or commissioning engineer and would like to hear more, please get in touch.
