Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission and install low-voltage diesel generator systems and associated control equipment
  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs across hire fleet and customer-owned equipment
  • Diagnose electrical and control system faults
  • Configure and test control systems including DSE and ComAp controllers
  • Install ATS systems, synchronising equipment, and temporary power distribution systems
  • Conduct load bank testing and system performance verification
  • Provide on-site technical support and respond to breakdowns when required
  • Complete commissioning and service documentation using digital systems
  • Support installation teams and collaborate with project delivery teams
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with RAMS and health & safety requirements

Profile

The Successful Candidate:

  • Electrically qualified via apprenticeship or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in power generation, commissioning, or electrical service roles
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding capabilities
  • Experience with generator control systems (DSE, ComAp or similar)
  • Knowledge of ATS systems, synchronisation, and LV power distribution
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • PLC experience or diagnostics knowledge advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-facing approach
