Talentmark are recruiting for a Commissioning Engineer to join a multinational, multi-industry company on a contract basis for 12 months. This role is fully home-based with occasional trips to the clients sites in Yorkshire and Scotland. 
 
The Company:
Our client is a multinational company in a range of industries including renewable energy and healthcare products.
 
Salary:
This role has been assessed as outside IR35.
£51.28 per hour PAYE or £68.12 per hour via Umbrella or Limited Company.
Commissioning Engineer Role:
  • Develop and ensure adherence to a detailed commissioning schedule and plan.
  • Plan, prepare and coordinate pre-commissioning/commissioning/start-up activities leading to project completion.
  • Perform and oversee National Grid testing procedures.
  • Coordinate all commissioning and testing activities across site teams.
  • Lead and align, contractors, site teams, and stakeholders on-site.
  • Execution and follow-up of testing activities for 400 kV HVDC switchgear.
 
Your Background:
  • Hold a relevant degree in Engineering or have equivalent working experience.
  • Must-have: TP141A Certification (National Grid authorisation)
  • Experience managing site teams and contractors
  • Experience in the execution and follow-up of testing activities for 400 kV switchgear 
  • Proven ability to maintain safety, quality, and compliance standards throughout commissioning and grid code requirements
