About the Role

Prestige Recruitment Specialists are recruiting on behalf of our client for a motivated and reliable Community Recycling Officer to join the Simply Recycling Team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, engaging with local communities, and making a positive environmental impact. Working independently across the city, you will deliver notification letters to households regarding contaminated recycling bins while educating residents on correct recycling practices to help improve recycling standards.

This role requires excellent organisational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently while representing our client in a professional and friendly manner.



Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver notification letters to households where recycling bins have been identified as contaminated.
  • Accurately record completed deliveries using the required systems or documentation.
  • Promote positive recycling behaviours by providing residents with clear and informative guidance.
  • Work independently across designated areas to achieve daily delivery targets.
  • Represent our client professionally when interacting with members of the public.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Report any issues or observations encountered during daily routes.
  • Support the wider Simply Recycling Team in improving recycling participation and reducing contamination levels.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good organisational and time management abilities.
  • A reliable, proactive, and self-motivated approach to work.
  • The ability to manage your own workload and meet daily objectives.
  • A positive attitude towards environmental sustainability and community engagement.
  • The physical ability to walk for extended periods while carrying letters and equipment in varying weather conditions.
