Hourly rate: £14.13

Working hours: 37 Monday-Friday

Location: Greenlands Business Centre Redditch B98 7HD- office based

Contract: temporary 3 months

Role Overview:

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of Redditch Borough Council for a Community Safety Assistant to provide a comprehensive, efficient, and effective administrative and organisational support service to the Council's Community Safety Team and the statutory North Worcestershire Community Safety Partnership (NWCSP). Supporting the smooth running of day-to-day community safety service operations.

Role responsibilities:

  • To assist the Community Safety Team with the co-ordination, implementation and promotion of community safety initiatives and projects
  • To support meetings including distribution of documents and papers, taking minutes and notes, managing mailing lists and meeting invites maintaining communication and information sharing with partners and customers.
  • To support the community safety project funding by raising purchase orders, processing invoices, maintaining receipts and keeping basic records of procurement and payment documentation.
  • To monitor and maintain all customer and partner access routes; answering calls, responding to emails, managing mailboxes and directing enquiries
  • To carry out clerical support functions including managing team correspondence, arranging appointments, meetings and co-ordinating team calendars.
  • To support the maintenance and accuracy of the website, community safety information on council websites and any internal intranet pages ensuring content is correct, up to date and relevant.
  • To support coordination of various Community Safety commissioned services, including receiving referrals, co-ordinating allocation of services, keeping accurate service records and managing communication between commissioned services and service users.
  • To be responsible for maintaining and updating a variety of records, data and filing systems.

What we're looking for:

  • Experience of working in an administrative support or project support environment
  • Previous Local Authority experience would be advantageous
  • Ability to handle sensitive data
