We are recruiting a Community Safety Officer to join the team at South Holland District Council which has been made possible through Pride of Place funding.

You role will be to help residents facing difficult situations, work to resolve anti-social behaviour and contribute to building safer, stronger communities across the borough.

This is a challenging but highly rewarding role. You'll investigate reports of anti-social behaviour, engage with residents and businesses, work alongside partner agencies and help find practical solutions to community concerns. The role requires resilience, professionalism and the ability to build positive relationships with people from all backgrounds.

You'll be joining a supportive and experienced team that works collaboratively to solve problems, share knowledge and celebrate successes. We are committed to developing our staff and providing the training, guidance and support needed to help you succeed.

Duties will include:

  • Liaising with retailers and security staff within Town Centre.
  • Issuing Fixed Penalty Notices where appropriate.
  • Working closely with internal teams including CCTV, Anti-Social Behaviour and Environmental Enforcement.
  • Produce accurate statements that may be used in court proceedings.

Flexible rota arrangements apply, including some evening and weekend working will be required.

We welcome applications from candidates with relevant transferable skills and experience. Comprehensive training will be provided, including the SIA Public Space CCTV qualification and BTEC Level 3 Anti-Social Behaviour qualification, helping you develop the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in the role.
