Companion Animal Leader | Your Chance to Shape What Comes Next | Taranaki | New Zealand. $130,000 - $150,000.

Let’s face it, you're not scrolling job sites because you're desperate for work. You're looking for the right opportunity.

You’ve spent years becoming a great vet. What if the next step was helping shape a great practice?

This isn’t simply another leadership role. It’s an opportunity to make a genuine impact on the future of an established veterinary practice.

Established in 1993, Energy Vets has grown from a single mixed animal clinic into a two-clinic practice, with dedicated large and small animal teams, modern facilities and outsourced small animal after-hours. The foundations are strong, with room to grow.

Now they’re looking for an experienced Companion Animal Veterinarian who wants influence over where the practice goes next.

You’ll bring strong clinical experience, broad technical skills and the desire to lead people and improve.

Perhaps you’re already leading a team and ready for a bigger challenge, or an experienced vet who knows there’s more to you than consulting and operating.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead and develop a team of vets and nurses.
  • Mentor graduates as they transition into clinical practice.
  • Introduce new ideas, systems and proven ways of working.
  • Help manage change and improve team performance.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships across the practice.
  • Take responsibility for clinical and team outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve patient care and the business.

You’ll understand that great veterinary businesses aren’t built simply by buying more equipment. The best practices invest in their people and continually look for ways to improve.

For the right person, there is also potential to become a shareholder in the wider mixed practice, giving you a genuine stake in its future.

Then there’s Taranaki...

Imagine finishing work and heading towards Mount Taranaki, the coast or the great outdoors, rather than sitting in traffic.

Taranaki is one of New Zealand’s best-kept secrets, offering beaches, mountains, sport, culture, excellent schooling, a sense of community, and a lifestyle that makes it easy to see why people stay.

So, what’s next?

If you want more than another job title — if you want influence, responsibility, ownership and the chance to leave your mark, this could be the opportunity that changes everything.

Forget the polished application; just reach out with whatever version of your CV you have on hand. We want to know the person, not just the paperwork.

The next few years at Energy Vets are going to be exciting. Why not help them write the next chapter?
