Competition Associate

We are working with a leading international law firm looking to appoint a Competition Litigation Associate into its highly regarded Disputes practice.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team handling complex, high-value and strategically significant competition disputes. The successful candidate will work on matters including collective proceedings, competition damages claims, abuse of dominance disputes, cartel-related litigation and regulatory investigations.

The team acts on technically challenging and often precedent-setting cases, working closely with economists, leading counsel and international colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on competition damages actions, collective proceedings and abuse of dominance claims.
• Managing complex litigation from the early stages through to trial, settlement or appeal.
• Drafting pleadings, witness statements, procedural applications and client advice.
• Managing disclosure, evidence gathering and case management on large-scale disputes.
• Supporting competition investigations and related regulatory matters.
• Working closely with clients, economists, counsel and international teams.
• Contributing to client relationships, business development and thought leadership.

About You

We are looking for a qualified solicitor with approximately 2–6 years' PQE, ideally with experience gained within a leading City, international or well-regarded disputes practice.

You should have experience in competition litigation, competition investigations or complex commercial litigation with a meaningful competition element.

Strong drafting and analytical skills are essential, together with experience handling sophisticated disputes and working with clients, counsel and experts.

This would particularly suit an ambitious disputes lawyer looking to develop their career within a specialist competition litigation practice handling some of the most significant matters in the market.
