Complaints Administrator – 12 Week Temporary Assignment

Location: Wigston, Leicester
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm – 35 hours per week
Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 days working from home
Contract: Temporary – 12 Week Assignment
Full-Time

We’re looking for an organised and professional Complaints Administrator to join a busy customer-focused team in Wigston on an initial 12-week temporary assignment.

This is primarily a written complaints and queries role, dealing with inbound emails and taking ownership of each query through investigation to resolution.

You’ll review the information provided, establish what has happened and produce a clear, professional and accurate formal response.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing inbound customer complaints and queries via email
  • Reviewing and understanding the issues raised
  • Investigating each case and gathering relevant information
  • Liaising with internal departments to establish the facts
  • Producing clear and professional formal written responses
  • Keeping customers updated where further investigation is required
  • Managing your own caseload and working to required timescales
  • Maintaining accurate records of correspondence and outcomes
  • Escalating more complex cases where appropriate
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider team

What We’re Looking For

You don’t necessarily need to have worked specifically as a Complaints Administrator. We’re interested in candidates from complaints, administration, customer service, legal administration, case management, insurance, financial services, housing or similar customer-focused environments.

You’ll need:

  • Excellent written English and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good investigation and problem-solving skills
  • Previous administration or customer service experience
  • Confidence dealing with sensitive or challenging queries
  • Ability to gather information and establish the facts
  • Strong organisation and time-management skills
  • A professional approach to written correspondence
  • Good IT and Microsoft Office skills
  • Availability to commit to the full 12-week assignment

This would be a great temporary opportunity for someone who enjoys investigating problems, getting to the bottom of customer queries and producing well-written responses.

Monday–Friday | 9:00am–5:00pm | 35 hours per week | 12-week temporary assignment | Hybrid working – 3 days in Wigston and 2 days from home.
