Complex Needs Community Keyworker (Women's Services)

Belmont Recruitment are recruiting a Complex Needs Community Keyworker to join a community-based service supporting women on probation across Hampshire (Travel is required to differing sites so car driver is essential).
This role involves delivering one-to-one, trauma-informed support to women living in the community, as well as women preparing for release from custody. You will support women with complex needs — including housing insecurity, mental health challenges, substance use, domestic abuse and other barriers — helping them to build stability, independence and safer lives away from the criminal justice system.
You will manage your own caseload and work closely with probation, housing services and a wide range of statutory and voluntary partners. The role also includes prison in-reach and “through the gate” support prior to release.
Please note: the role involves a significant amount of case recording and data management (approximately 35% of working time) and requires confidence in lone working and decision-making.
You will be expected to travel across Hampshire, mileage is paid - but driving and access to your own vehicle is essential. Flexible working 2 days a week WFH is also included.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing one-to-one advocacy, advice and emotional support to women on probation.

Completing needs and risk assessments and regularly reviewing support plans.

Delivering prison in-reach and release support, including meeting women at the gate.

Supporting women to secure and sustain safe and appropriate accommodation.

Working in partnership with probation, housing, social services and other agencies

Monitoring engagement, risk and progress, escalating safeguarding concerns where required.

Maintaining accurate, timely case records in line with contractual requirements.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:

Significant experience working with women experiencing multiple and complex needs or vulnerable people.

Strong understanding of issues affecting women involved in the criminal justice system.

Experience of casework, advocacy and partnership working.

Confidence managing risk and responding to challenging situations.

A trauma-informed, non-judgemental and empowering approach.

Excellent organisational, administrative and IT skills.

Ability to manage a varied caseload and work independently.
Essential requirements

This post is restricted to women under Schedule 9 (Part 1) of the Equality Act 2010.

Enhanced DBS check required.

Enhanced Level 1 Ministry of Justice vetting via SSCL (or have held this within the last 6 months)

Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and business insurance
Days: Monday - Friday
Contract: Until April 2027
Salary: £19 to £22 per hour
