Complex SEN
Prospero Teaching
Prospero Teaching is seeking experienced SEN Tutors to deliver 1:1 specialist educational support to children and young people from primary age through to post‑16 in Barking and Dagenham. Learners may be out of school, awaiting specialist placements, or require additional support to access education.
Young people present with complex SEN needs, including ASD, SEMH, Global Developmental Delay, learning difficulties, communication needs, sensory processing difficulties, and physical needs. Due to the level of complexity, a minimum of two years' experience working with SEN learners is essential.
The role requires a confident, adaptable tutor able to deliver highly personalised, trauma‑informed sessions. Tutors will support academic engagement, communication, emotional regulation, and independence, with sessions tailored to EHCP outcomes and individual learning profiles.
Tuition may take place in family homes (with a responsible adult present), libraries, community venues, or other approved settings. Full guidance, resources, and progress monitoring are provided by Prospero's Learning Delivery Team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting difference to learners with complex additional needs.
