QHSE Manager

Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Location: Coventry
Early finish on Fridays

 

Pertemps are currently recruiting for a QHSE Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business in Coventry.

The company specialises in the assembly and supply of shock absorption products used across a range of industries, including elevators, rail and industrial applications.

This is a key role within the business, working closely with a team of around 32 people on site. You will take ownership of the QHSE function, with a particular focus on Quality, while also ensuring high standards across Health & Safety.

You will also have the opportunity to support and develop a member of the existing team, helping them progress into a similar role over time.

 

The Role:

  • Take responsibility for the day-to-day QHSE function across site

  • Maintain and improve quality standards and processes

  • Manage and support internal and external audits

  • Ensure Health & Safety standards and procedures are maintained

  • Investigate quality issues, non-conformances and corrective actions

  • Manage and monitor warranties where required

  • Identify areas for continuous improvement

  • Provide guidance, support and training to colleagues

  • Help develop a member of the existing team into a similar QHSE position

  • Ensure clear communication of QHSE requirements across the business

  • Work independently and use your initiative to prioritise workloads

  • Maintain accurate QHSE documentation and records

 

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone who is confident working independently and comfortable taking ownership of their workload.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous QHSE experience, with a strong background in Quality

  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety

  • Experience managing or supporting internal and external audits

  • Experience with warranties would be advantageous

  • Peninsula experience would be advantageous

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • A proactive approach and the ability to work on your own initiative

  • The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure

  • A strong-minded, adaptable approach to working in a changing environment
