JOB OVERVIEW
The Senior Compliance Manager supports the Head of Compliance & MLRO in implementing and maintaining the Company’s Compliance Framework across all UK entities.
This role provides day-to-day leadership of the Compliance function, acting as the primary operational lead for compliance oversight activities, intermediary oversight, compliance monitoring, and regulatory implementation. The Senior Compliance Manager will deputise for the Head of Compliance when appropriate and ensure the effective delivery of compliance initiatives throughout the business.
The position operates on a hybrid basis (two days remote working), combining strategic oversight with operational leadership. Regular travel across the UK is required to support Regional Compliance Managers, conduct compliance reviews, engage with business stakeholders and retailers, and represent the Compliance function as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree-level education – preferably a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience within a Compliance, Risk, or Internal Audit function in Financial Services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of FCA regulations, Consumer Duty, and the UK regulatory framework.
- Proven experience in intermediary oversight and second-line compliance monitoring.
- Demonstrated success in leading compliance reviews and managing regulatory remediation activities.
- Experience in managing and developing teams to achieve high performance.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across all organisational levels.
- Strong written communication skills, including preparing reports for senior management and governance committees.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the UK.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
