Compliance Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation operating within a highly regulated, safety-critical environment as they look to appoint an experienced Compliance Manager.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced operational safety professional to join a business where safety, compliance and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do. You'll take ownership of operational standards and assurance activities, working closely with senior leadership to ensure the organisation continues to operate safely, compliantly and in line with industry best practice.

This is a strategic leadership role with significant influence across the business. You'll be responsible for driving operational compliance, leading audit and assurance programmes and ensuring the Safety Management System remains robust, effective and aligned with changing legislation and industry standards.

You'll also play a key role in supporting operational change, managing risk and representing the organisation with key industry stakeholders.

• Lead the operational audit and assurance programme, driving compliance and continuous improvement.
• Own and develop the Safety Management System (SMS), ensuring it remains compliant with legislation and industry standards.
• Provide expert operational safety guidance on business change and risk management.
• Manage the operational compliance register, ensuring legislative changes are effectively communicated and implemented.
• Partner with operational and safety teams to strengthen governance and improve operational performance.
• Represent the organisation at industry forums and stakeholder meetings.
• Champion best practice and drive a proactive safety culture across the business.

We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

• Significant experience within a safety-critical or highly regulated industry.
• A strong background in operational standards, compliance and risk management.
• Experience leading audits, assurance programmes and Safety Management Systems.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• A Level 6 Health & Safety qualification (or equivalent experience) would be advantageous.
