Location: East Sussex
Salary: £48,000–£58,000
Contract: Permanent, Full-time
Found Food & Drink are recruiting a Compliance Manager for an established manufacturer operating within the regulated health and wellness sector.
This is a broad role covering regulatory compliance, quality systems, product information, audits and supplier assurance. You’ll work across several departments, helping the business maintain high standards while continuing to develop and launch new products.
The business needs someone who can interpret complex regulations, communicate them clearly and find practical solutions without compromising compliance.
What you’ll be doing:
Monitoring changes to relevant UK, European and international regulations
Translating regulatory updates into clear actions for the wider business
Reviewing and approving product information, labels and promotional content
Supporting product development projects from concept through to launch
Maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System
Writing, reviewing and implementing SOPs
Managing product specifications, safety documentation and certificates
Overseeing product testing and compliance schedules
Leading CAPA investigations relating to complaints and non-conformances
Managing internal audits and supporting external certification audits
Maintaining compliance with relevant food safety, quality and manufacturing standards
Assessing and approving new suppliers
Delivering compliance training across the business
Reporting compliance risks, performance and priorities to senior leadership
Supporting entry into new international markets
What we’re looking for:
At least three to five years’ compliance experience within food, nutraceuticals, consumer health products or another regulated FMCG environment
Strong knowledge of product, labelling and advertising regulations
Experience reviewing claims, labels and marketing content
Practical experience managing a QMS, SOPs, CAPA and complaints
Knowledge of recognised food safety, quality or manufacturing certification standards
Experience managing internal or external audits
Strong attention to detail and the confidence to challenge when necessary
The ability to work effectively across technical and commercial departments
A relevant degree or equivalent industry experience
Useful, but not essential:
Experience within nutritional supplements or consumer health products
Knowledge of international export requirements
Experience supporting ethical, environmental or sustainability standards
Membership of a relevant professional body
