The Compliance Manager will effectively lead a team of compliance officers with responsibility for the effective delivery of all landlord's compliance service, repair and inspection work streams. These include, gas safety, electrical safety and repair, lift safety, water hygiene (legionella control), asbestos safety, smoke and CO detection and M&E.

Our client is a leading public sector social housing provider who own and manager over 12,000 properties across the North West.

Description

  • Manage and monitor property compliance activities to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Be a subject matter expert in compliance, legislation, project management and building safety to lead a service that is responsive and adaptive to the changing environment of asset management landlord compliance, with particular regards to the provision of compliance regulation and safety for all customers
  • Operationally manage a multifunction team to deliver a first class responsive, planned and cyclical maintenance for domestic and commercial gas, mechanical, electrical systems and other compliance disciplines including active fire safety across all assets.
  • Use data and evidence to understand, act, learn and improve through the identification of trends and patterns which show how the service is performing to inform decision making and continuous improvement
  • Lead and drive overall operational performance for the organisation by monitoring performance against KPIs and insight to inform decision making and add value to drive improvements in terms of cost, quality and productivity to achieve value for money and customer satisfaction to continuously improve operations and outcomes.
  • Effectively lead teams and individuals in line with all organisatioal strategies, policies, procedures and guidance.

Profile

A successful Compliance Manager should have:

  • Experience of building and maintaining relationships with contractors, stakeholders and customers to continually improve services
  • Proven experience in a senior management role
  • Experience managing procurement processes
  • Knowledge and experience of monitoring the compliance and servicing requirements of all landlord compliance activities including: domestic and commercial gas installations, non-gas heating systems and appliances, domestic and non-domestic passenger lifts, fire safety equipment (i.e. sprinklers, fire alarms and emergency lighting) CCTV, automatic doors and barriers, pumps, man-safe systems, lightning protection, radon, water safety, asbestos, smoke and CO detection, electrical safety inspections and repairs, and any other landlord compliance safety inspection and/or repair.
