Computer Science Teacher

A large secondary school based in Ealing is looking for a Computer Science Teacher.

The school is looking for someone to start on a long-term contract until at least July 2027.

This position is full time, but the school is open to part-time applicants. Working hours are from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Salary will match Inner London MPS/UPS.

The school has available parking spaces.



Computer Science Teacher - Ealing, London

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Computer Science lessons, enabling students to develop their understanding of programming, computational thinking, and digital technologies while applying their knowledge to real-world contexts.
  • Support students in building confidence with coding, algorithms, data representation, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies through practical and interactive learning experiences.
  • Encourage curiosity and problem-solving by fostering a passion for technology and equipping students with the skills needed for further education and future careers.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where every student is challenged to achieve their full potential.
  • Monitor and assess student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback that supports continuous academic development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the continued success and development of the Computing department.
  • Uphold high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and achievement in line with the school's values.
  • Embrace the ethos of the school, contributing to a welcoming and ambitious learning community where all students are encouraged to succeed.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A relevant degree.
  • Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Approachable, enthusiastic, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.

M1 - M6 salaries are aligned to experience within the Main Pay Range. Teachers typically progress annually from M1 through to M6. UPS requires formal application. TLR payments are made for agreed, sustained additional duties outside of regular teaching.
