The Role
The successful candidate will teach Computer Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students to develop their programming, computational thinking, and digital literacy skills. There is also the opportunity to teach A-Level Computer Science for candidates with the appropriate experience and interest.
Working within a collaborative department, you will help maintain the school's high academic standards while encouraging students to develop confidence, curiosity, and a passion for technology.

The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Have experience teaching Computer Science across KS3 and KS4
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge, including programming and computational thinking
- Be passionate about delivering engaging and challenging lessons
- Have strong classroom management and communication skills
- Be committed to supporting every student to achieve their full potential
- Enjoy working collaboratively and contributing to the wider school community
- Must have a full Right to Work in the UK - no sponsorship available
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Teach topics including programming, algorithms, computational thinking, and data representation
- Assess, monitor, and support student progress through effective feedback
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
- Support curriculum development and extracurricular opportunities, such as coding clubs and STEM initiatives
- Uphold the school's commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and educational excellence
