Computing Teacher Required - Outstanding Secondary School

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Computing Teacher to join an Outstanding Secondary School in the Newtown and Hockley area of Central Birmingham from Tuesday 1st September 2026.

This is a full-time, long-term position initially covering the Autumn Term, with the potential to continue for the remainder of the academic year and even become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring Computing lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their understanding of computer science, digital literacy, and information technology.

Responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering high-quality Computing lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Creating engaging learning opportunities that challenge and motivate students.
• Assessing, monitoring, and tracking student progress.
• Ensuring all students are supported to achieve their full potential.
• Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and behaviour.
• Contributing to the wider success of the department and school community.
• Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or is completing their teacher training.
• Has experience teaching Computing within a secondary school environment.
• Demonstrates strong subject knowledge across Computing and Computer Science.
• Is enthusiastic, engaging, and passionate about education.

• Can deliver creative and engaging lessons that inspire learners.
