Position Overview


We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Concrete Plant Supervisor to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will support the safe and efficient production of ready-mixed concrete, operating plant equipment and ensuring materials are produced to the required quality standards.


You will work as part of a team, following strict health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and control mobile concrete batching plants in line with production schedules
  • Accurately batch materials to meet approved concrete mix design specifications
  • Monitor plant performance, moisture content, slump and production output to ensure consistent product quality
  • Carry out routine plant inspections and basic preventative maintenance checks
  • Adjust plant settings to maintain product quality, consistency and operational efficiency
  • Record production data, stock levels, delivery documentation and quality control results accurately
  • Coordinate with quarry operatives, drivers and site supervisors to ensure efficient operations
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards at all times
  • Identify and report plant faults, breakdown risks or material issues promptly
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards across the concrete plant 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential

  • Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn

Desirable

  • Experience operating concrete batching plants within a quarry or heavy industrial environment
  • Understanding of concrete mix designs, material properties and quality control standards
  • Experience using computerised batching control systems and interpreting production specifications
  • Basic mechanical knowledge with strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
  • Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental requirements within a quarry or construction environment.
