Our client, Ringway Jacobs, a leading provider of integrated highways management, is seeking a highly organised Construction Administrator to support the successful delivery of a varied programme of highways and infrastructure projects. Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and site teams, you will provide essential administrative, technical and coordination support to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed timescales. The role is primarily based in Congleton, with occasional travel to Essex required to support wider project activities.
Job Description
As a Construction Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of construction and maintenance projects. You will be responsible for maintaining project documentation, monitoring project information, coordinating stakeholders and assisting with programme reporting. The role combines office-based administration with occasional site visits, providing excellent exposure to project delivery within a fast-paced construction environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and delivery of construction and maintenance projects.
- Maintain accurate project records, schedules and programme data.
- Prepare and update project documentation, reports and technical information.
- Assist with monitoring project progress against key milestones and deadlines.
- Coordinate information between project teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
- Support the management of permits, road space bookings and traffic management requirements.
- Carry out site visits to monitor progress and report any issues to project teams.
- Assist with monitoring project costs, valuations and expenditure records.
- Help manage customer enquiries, defects and project-related correspondence.
- Support compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
Essential Qualifications / Skills
- Experience working within a construction, highways, civil engineering or infrastructure environment.
- Strong administration and organisational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple priorities.
- Understanding of construction project processes and documentation.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements within construction projects.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
