Construction Machinery Sales Executive

Location: Lincolnshire | Permanent, Full-Time

We’re recruiting for an exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Machinery Sales professional to join an established and growing business with a strong reputation within the machinery and equipment sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being out on the road, building genuine customer relationships and turning opportunities into sales. You’ll be representing leading machinery brands across a designated territory, working with an established customer base while also developing new business and growing your area.

The Opportunity

As a Construction Machinery Sales Executive, you’ll play a key role in the continued growth of the business. You’ll have the freedom to manage your territory, develop your own customer relationships and identify new commercial opportunities.

  • Managing and developing relationships with an established customer base.
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across your territory.
  • Promoting and selling a range of leading construction machinery and equipment.
  • Proactively generating new leads through networking, prospecting, referrals and cold calling.
  • Visiting customers to understand their requirements and recommend the right machinery and solutions.
  • Demonstrating equipment to customers where required.
  • Preparing quotations, negotiating and confidently closing sales.
  • Identifying opportunities to upsell and develop existing accounts.
  • Providing a high level of customer service throughout the entire sales process.
  • Planning customer visits and managing your territory effectively.
  • Keeping up to date with product knowledge, industry developments and manufacturer training.
  • Working closely with colleagues across the wider business to deliver an excellent customer experience.
What We’re Looking For

We’re keen to hear from commercially driven sales professionals who have a genuine interest in construction machinery, agricultural equipment or a related industry.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Proven sales experience, preferably within construction, agricultural machinery, plant or a related sector.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of machinery and equipment.
  • A confident, personable approach to dealing with customers at all levels.
  • A strong track record of building and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Experience generating new business, identifying opportunities and closing sales.
  • A target-focused and commercially minded approach.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing and communication skills.
  • Confidence demonstrating machinery and discussing technical products with customers.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • The ability to use tools such as Google Maps to plan efficient customer visits.
  • The motivation to work independently and manage your own territory, while also contributing positively as part of a team.
  • A professional and customer-focused approach.
  • A full, valid driving licence and the ability to maintain a safe and presentable company vehicle.
  • A commitment to health & safety, compliance and ongoing product training.

The Details

Location:
  Lincolnshire 
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Additional hours: May occasionally be required, including weekends on a rota during peak periods
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, plus commission and company car
