Construction Coordinator / Administrator

Construction Administrator /  Coordinator / Social Values – Oldham

We are recruiting for a Construction Coordinator to join a busy and growing construction company based in Oldham.

This is a varied role working closely with the Bid Team, customers and wider business, with a particular focus on Social Value, community engagement and customer relationships.

Key duties will include:

• Supporting the Bid Team with Social Value content for new projects and tenders
• Helping develop initiatives around local employment, apprenticeships and work experience
• Building relationships with local schools, colleges, community groups and charities
• Supporting community engagement activities connected with construction projects
• Monitoring and promoting the positive social impact of developments
• Attending meetings with clients and supporting customer events
• Liaising with existing customers and maintaining strong relationships
• Helping coordinate Social Value commitments throughout live projects
• Managing and updating the company’s social media channels
• Promoting community initiatives, project successes and Social Value achievements
• Working with site teams and internal departments to gather information for bids, reports and marketing

The ideal candidate will:

• Have some previous experience working within the construction sector
• Be confident dealing with clients, contractors and members of the community
• Have strong communication and organisational skills
• Be comfortable attending meetings and events
• Have an interest in Social Value, community engagement and the wider impact of construction projects
• Be confident using social media for business purposes

This would suit someone from a construction coordination, bid support, customer liaison, community engagement, marketing or Social Value background who is looking for a varied role within a busy construction business.
