Rare and exciting opportunity for an ambitious Designer to join a growing construction company specialising in light steel framing, with excellent long-term career progression.

This award-winning, family-run business specialises in light steel frame solutions, predominantly working on student accommodation and later living projects. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking for a Designer to join their team.

The role will involve producing and coordinating detailed design information using Revit, MWF and AutoCAD, working across multiple projects and taking ownership of your own workload. You will work closely with the design, engineering, factory, commercial and site teams to resolve technical issues and ensure projects are delivered accurately and on programme.

The role will also involve site visits, design meetings, quantity take-offs and snagging, giving you exposure to the full project lifecycle.

This role would suit someone with previous design experience within the construction or manufacturing industry, who is confident using Revit, MWF and AutoCAD and is looking for a long-term opportunity to develop their career.

The Role:

• Construction Designer
• Light Steel Frame / Off-site Construction
• Produce detailed drawings using Revit, MWF and AutoCAD
• Manage multiple projects and your own workload
• Liaise with design, engineering, factory, commercial and site teams
• Attend site visits and design meetings
• Quantity take-offs and material coordination
• Resolve technical issues and support project delivery

The Person:

• Previous design experience within the construction or manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of Revit, MWF and AutoCAD
• Ideally, experience or understanding of light steel framing
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Proactive, logical and solutions-focused
• Ambitious and keen to progress

Benefits:

• £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience
