Kenna Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join a well-established main contractor on a newly awarded CAT A and CAT B fit out project based in Mayfair, London.

Having just secured the project, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager to take ownership of the project from the start of the programme, working closely with the project team to successfully deliver the scheme from mobilisation through to completion.

The Role

As Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day construction activities on site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

You will be involved from the outset, helping to establish the site, programme and delivery strategy before managing the project through the various stages of the CAT A and CAT B fit out.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day construction activities on site
• Taking ownership of the project from the start of the programme
• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site teams
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality
• Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team
• Managing site logistics, sequencing and coordination
• Monitoring progress and addressing any issues that may impact the programme
• Attending and contributing to site meetings and progress meetings
• Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained across the project
• Managing quality and ensuring works are completed to a high standard
• Coordinating CAT A and CAT B fit out packages through to completion
• Maintaining strong relationships with the client, consultants and supply chain

About You

The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial fit out, ideally with experience delivering both CAT A and CAT B projects within Central London.

You will be an experienced Construction Manager who is confident managing subcontractors and site operations, with the ability to take ownership of a project and drive it forward from the beginning of the programme.

Previous experience working on high-end commercial fit out projects in Mayfair or Central London would be highly advantageous.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager within commercial fit out
• Strong CAT A and CAT B fit out experience
• Experience managing projects from commencement through to completion
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing and site management
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management abilities
• Relevant CSCS qualification
• SMSTS
• First Aid
