Construction Manager in Manchester, Greater Manchester

Our client, a leading integrated design and build provider in the water sector, is seeking a Construction Manager to join its team within the United Utilities region on a permanent basis. The role will oversee construction delivery across a designated project, ensuring that work is completed safely, sustainably, on time and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage site construction teams to deliver projects within approved budgets and agreed programmes
• Facilitate construction kick-off meetings, lead health checks and monitor delivery performance
• Manage Health, Safety, Environmental and Sustainability compliance across all construction activities
• Oversee supplier performance in relation to safety, time and quality, including the approval of appropriate RAMS
• Lead constructability reviews, project rehearsals and Fit for Assembly sign-off to encourage innovation and project efficiency
• Promote zero-waste principles and reduce embodied carbon across construction activities
• Ensure contractual and commercial notices are raised by site teams in a timely manner
• Work with the Lead Construction Manager to plan labour, plant and material requirements
• Manage and motivate multidisciplinary teams to achieve time, cost and quality objectives

Job Requirements:

• Experience delivering large-scale construction programmes
• Experience within the water industry would be preferred
• Construction-related degree or equivalent qualification
• Temporary Works experience or relevant qualification
• Project management experience - APMP or equivalent qualification
• Working knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction Health and Safety requirements
• Delivery-focused approach, with the ability to set targets and drive performance
