2 x Construction Managers – Energy Centre / Major Infrastructure

We are recruiting two experienced Construction Managers to join a major decarbonisation programme at Gatwick Airport, working for a leading UK renewable energy contractor.
The roles will focus primarily on the delivery of a £75 million, first-of-its-kind energy centre, covering major civil, structural, architectural and building works, with interfaces across CHP (Combined Heat and Power), MEP and specialist systems.
These are senior site leadership roles, suited to experienced Construction Managers / Project Leads with a strong track record delivering large, complex projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead construction delivery of construction projects through to completion and handover.
- Manage and coordinate civil, structural, architectural and building works.
- Coordinate with MEP, CHP and specialist contractors.
- Lead site teams, subcontractors and suppliers.
- Manage programme, sequencing, resources, logistics, quality and site operations.
- Review drawings, specifications and construction methodologies.
- Identify and resolve construction, programme and interface issues.
- Lead progress and coordination meetings with project teams and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with CDM, RAMS, H&S and airport requirements.
- Support commissioning, snagging, completion and handover.
About You
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Senior Construction Manager or Project Lead on major construction/infrastructure projects.
- Strong experience across civils, structural, architectural/building works.
- Experience delivering large, complex projects from construction to completion.
- Strong programme, subcontractor, site and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident managing multidisciplinary construction interfaces.
- Relevant construction/civil engineering qualification and SMSTS.
Desirable: Energy centre, CHP, utilities, industrial, major infrastructure or live operational/airport experience.
