Construction Planner

A leading and highly respected main contractor is preparing to commence a landmark £90 million construction scheme in South Wales, with works due to start imminently.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Construction Planner to play a pivotal role on one of the region's most significant projects. Working alongside the Project Director and senior operational team, you'll take ownership of programme development, planning strategy and project controls from pre-construction through to successful completion.
The RoleAs Construction Planner, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining and managing the master construction programme, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently and on schedule. You'll work closely with site teams, commercial, design and client representatives to identify opportunities, manage programme risks and drive successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Produce, develop and maintain detailed construction programmes
- Monitor project progress and provide accurate programme reporting
- Identify critical path activities and proactively mitigate programme risks
- Work collaboratively with operational, commercial and design teams
- Lead programme review meetings with internal teams and the client
- Prepare delay analysis, programme updates and recovery plans where required
- Support project planning from mobilisation through to completion
- Previous experience as a Construction Planner on major construction projects
- Strong working knowledge of Asta Powerproject (Primavera P6 experience also considered)
- Experience delivering projects valued at £50m+
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to interpret construction methodologies and sequencing
- Relevant construction qualification
