Construction Tutor

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND provision across Cromford and Mansfield that is committed to providing high-quality vocational education in a supportive and inclusive environment. The provision focuses on developing practical skills, confidence, and independence, helping students achieve positive outcomes both inside and outside the classroom.

We are looking to recruit a Construction Tutor to work three days per week from September, based two days in Cromford and one day in Mansfield. The successful Construction Tutor will plan and deliver engaging vocational construction sessions, assess learner progress, and adapt teaching to meet the individual needs of students with SEND and SEMH. This is an excellent opportunity for a Construction Tutor who is passionate about practical learning and committed to supporting young people within alternative education.

The successful Construction Tutor will have:

• Level 3 Award in Education and Training, Certificate in Education, PGCE, or another relevant teaching or training qualification
• An Assessor qualification
• Experience delivering vocational construction qualifications
• Experience working within Alternative Provision, SEND, SEMH, or specialist education
• Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
• A patient, flexible, and supportive approach to teaching
